Baked BBQ Tofu

crisp, golden, and flavorful!

Super firm tofu is tossed with a few simple seasonings, and baked until crispy & golden. BBQ tofu is the perfect addition to bowls, salads, and anywhere you need a little bit of protein.

Super firm tofu BBQ sauce of choice Canola oil Sambal oelek or chili garlic sauce Black pepper Soy sauce


Super firm tofu does not need to be pressed. Gently pat it with a clean towel to remove excess moisture. Slice into 1 inch triangles.

Prep the tofu

In a medium bowl, toss with sambal oelek, soy sauce, and canola oil. Layer evenly on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Step 1

Bake the tofu at 420F for 15-20 minutes, until golden around the edges. The tofu will not be completely done at this point. Remove from the oven.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, toss the baked tofu with BBQ sauce until evenly coated. Return to the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Step 3

Bake the BBQ tofu for another 5-10 minutes, until the edges are blackening. The tofu should be firm, chewy, and golden in color.
