Apple Cider

Apple juice is mulled with warming spices like cloves & cinnamon then spiked with bourbon in this cozy fall drink!

What you'll need

– 48 ounces unfiltered apple juice – 1 teaspoon whole cloves – 4 whole star anise – 4 cinnamon sticks – 2 medium navel oranges – 12 ounces bourbon – 1 medium Honeycrisp apple

To a large pot (4-6 quarts), add all ingredients, except for the orange slices, apple slices and bourbon. Cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes.

Add the bourbon, orange slices and apple slices. Remove the spices before serving. Enjoy hot!

Add all ingredients but the garnishes and bourbon to your slow cooker. Cook on low for 3 hours.

After the cider is mulled and warmed through, add the bourbon and garnishes. Enjoy hot!

Slow Cooker Instructions

Add a slice of orange or apple to each mug and garnish with star anise or cinnamon sticks.
