This galette is made using fresh blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Strawberries also work well!
Start by making the galette dough. This is made the same way as a butter pie crust. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling out.
Roll out the dough until it is about 12x12 inches. It does not need to be perfectly uniform.
Combine the berries with corn starch, sugar, and lemon juice. Let rest 15 minutes, then drain off any liquid.
Place the berries in the center of the rolled out dough.
Fold in the edges of the galette dough onto the berries. Brush with egg wash (optional) and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake until golden. Top with ice cream and enjoy!
