Step 1: Mash the chickpeas with the cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and onion powder. Leave some chickpea pieces intact for a variety of texture.

Step 2: Stir in the sauteed garlic until the buffalo chickpea dip is well combined. Taste for seasonings.

Step 3: Transfer to a 9-inch cast iron skillet or a similarly sized baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 4: Bake at 375F for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Serve garnished with sliced green onions.
