    Lynn's Desserts Series

    Welcome to the home page for my new dessert series, where I'm sharing my dear friend Lynn's tried & true bakery recipes.

    These are the recipes that she made dozens of times and sold as part of her bakery business. She no longer runs the business but she has dozens of recipes that deserve to be shared with the world, and she was gracious enough to let my blog be their new home.

    These are classic recipes. I'm talking chocolate cake, snickerdoodle cookies, key lime pie. They are recipes that she made over and over again for customers and coffee shops.

    Many of the recipes are for layer cakes or 100 cookies (yes, 100!) and I am adapting them down into home baker-friendly sizes. I'm converting a lot of the cakes into snack cakes (8x8-inch pan size) with instructions for how you can use the recipe for layer cakes.

    The cookies typically make a dozen medium-sized cookies, perfect for weeknight baking.

    I plan to share at least one recipe weekly for the next however many weeks it takes to share all of the recipes. There are at least 20 recipes I plan to share, but more realistically 30 or even 40.

    Peanut Butter Cookies
    Bakery-style peanut butter cookies adapted as part of the Lynn's Desserts series. This tried and true recipe has been made hundreds of times and creates classically thick, soft, and chewy cookies.

    Almond Cookies
    Melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookies dappled with almond pieces and almond flavor. Easy to make, delicate, and perfect with tea or in a Christmas cookie box. Part of my Lynn's Desserts series.

    Sour Cream Chocolate Cake
    This chocolate cake uses sour cream for a rich, moist, and foolproof result. Made in an 8x8-inch pan in a snacking cake style, this recipe can also be adapted into a layer cake.

    Pecan Date Cookies (Vegan)
    These are simple oil-based cookies made with pecans, oats, and maple syrup. They are vegan as-is and are very versatile, as the jammy date center can be replaced with any type of jam.

    Oatmeal Butterscotch Chip Cookies
    Soft & chewy, rich and buttery, these cookies absolutely melt in your mouth! These cookies are soft in the center and crisp on the edges. This recipe makes 18 medium cookies and can be doubled or tripled as needed.
