Frozen Peach Margarita Slushies are the perfect pool-side summer cocktail! All you need is five ingredients and a blender to make these lightly sweet drinks.

Margaritas are my go-to summer mixed drink, alongside this strawberry tequila smash. I recently decided to blend in frozen peaches for a fun twist and wow! Frozen peach margaritas were born.
This recipe takes less than 5 minutes to make and can easily be made in large batches to share with friends. Peach margaritas are basically the perfect poolside summertime drink!
In case you're wondering: this recipe works with all kinds of frozen fruit! Swap the peaches for frozen mango, frozen strawberries, kiwi, etc.
Ingredients

- Frozen peaches: Sliced peaches double as a main flavor ingredient and as ice. If you don't have frozen peaches, you can peel and slice a ripe peach and freeze it.
- Tequila: I use reposado because I like the sweetness, but you can use whichever kind you like.
- Simple syrup: Simply a mix of equal parts water and sugar.
- Limes: One lime will yield about 1.5 tablespoons of lime juice. It's worth using real limes instead of bottled lime juice.
- Orange liqueur: Couintreau is my favorite but it's on the more expensive side. Choose the orange liqueur that fits your budget.
- Ice: To turn the peach margarita into a peach margarita slushy!

Tips and customization ideas
- Simple syrup: I like to make about a cup at a time so that I have leftovers to use in iced coffee (or more mixed drinks!). To do this, combine ½ cup sugar with ½ cup water in a small sauce pot. Heat on the stove, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. This takes about 1-2 minutes over medium heat on the stove. Let cool before using.
- Margaritas are a highly personal choice, so feel free to adjust lime, tequila, and simple syrup amounts to taste. The frozen peaches don't actually add a lot of sweetness to the drink, so I sometimes add a bit more simple syrup.
- To salt the rim of your glass, use a paper towel to wet the rim of the glass. Fill the bottom of a wide bowl (such as a cereal bowl) with kosher salt. Add in sugar or even chili-lime powder (I get this from Trader Joe's) for a different taste.
- I start with 3 ice cubes for 2 drinks. You can add more ice if you prefer a slushier (but also more diluted) drink.

Notes
- Peaches: If you don't have frozen peaches, you can peel and slice a ripe peach. Freeze for at least 2 hours before using.
- Lime juice: I recommend fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
- Simple syrup: This recipe makes 1 cup of simple syrup. It can be cut in half to have less leftover. Leftover simple syrup can be refrigerated for up to a week.
